Global warming

For the last four or five decades, the term that has been continuously irritating scientists is global warming. The earth is getting hotter and hotter day by day. Scientists feel that if this process of warming cannot be stopped, all kinds of life forms may vanish from earth.

The CO2 emission has risen from about 21 billion tones in 1990 to about 30 billion tones in 2010. Water vapor is the biggest greenhouse gas. It is responsible for 36-70 % of the warming. It is followed by carbon-di-oxide which causes about 9-26 % of the warming. Then comes Methane and Ozone with 4-9 % and 3-7 % warming respectively. Clouds are also responsible for this effect on earth as they block the heat partially.

The main contributors to the greenhouse effect were the last four decades. CO2 emissions are rising for the reason of more and more burning of fossil fuels like coal and petrol. The whole gaseous material is resulting in a blanket in the sky which is trapping the heat inside earth and making the planet hotter and creating an imbalance in the whole biosphere.

Scientists say that another 4 to 5 degree  rise in temperature will cause the polar caps to melt down. This will deeply affect the coastal areas. The mangrove forests and the largest delta of the world will be eaten up by the sea. Small ecosystems will get erased. Genetic imbalance and reformation will take place.

If this is not looked into, then life on earth will get erased. We are responsible for our acts and we will also be responsible for our extinction if we don’t look into this matter now.
